Intercomp's Weigh-in-Motion systems are used in high and low speed applications for data logging from the highway or at terminals, overweight enforcement, traffic management and tolling.
A total system approach provides mainline screening capabilities at typical highway speeds. Augmented by license plate readers (ALPR), vehicle recognition and variable messaging (VMS), probable offenders are directed to offline areas for overweight inspection. Off the main line slow speed precision scales are used for screening on ramps or ticketing offenders based on local regulations. Here data can be gathered including vehicle classification and overweight violation. Typical applications include:
